Living Root Bridges: The nature wander at Cherrapunji In Megahalya



Cherrapunji is the wettest place in the world. It situated in eastern India.

Root Bridge is the most famous things to here. Root Bridge are usually wander of nature.

It’s so strong to build. 50 people at a time passing through this bridge. It takes to build minimum 10-15 years to fully functional. They are still alive and growing.

Some of the oldest bridge, even used today daily by people of the village here Cherapunji over 500 years.

One Special root bridge I think it’s only one in the world, actually here is two root bridges stalked one over the others and has come to be known as “Double Decker Root Bridge”
